Deadzone - The best starter wargame, imho.

Recently, I asked nephew, Mr 8, to build a model kit. instructions weren't clear, no idea what tools to use, or glue and frustration was clear. Instead he swapped to some push fit minis and was happy to be building and making progress.

Some wargames can feel like this. I just want to start playing ... enter Deadzone, the simplest of wargames. Easy for new players to learn, challenging and involved enough for experienced gamers to enjoy.

If you like the look of cool minis clambering over towering scenery, looking for hidey holes for snipers and runnings teams of melee infantry in the enemy force, Deadzone may be for you.

This scfi miniature skirmish game is a golden entry point for wargaming. It's affordable (online around $155) and comes with everything needed to get started

Deadzone start box 2

Gameplay is narrative, with many scenarios which capture areas of the board or objectives. A campaign system is included in the main rules, allowing players to grow their force and watch their soldier learn new skills, carry injuries and develop their own individual stories.
